The Chinese Cars portal came to this conclusion after comparing photographs of the crossover for the Kazakh market with official photographs of the Geely Boyue L (the original name of the new Atlas in China). The main difference was found in the cabin – the version for the CIS has a different steering wheel. The car for Kazakhstan has the same design as the Monjaro, but with a silver emblem in the center. At the same time, the steering wheel of the Chinese Boyue L differs not only in design, but also in shape.

The new Geely Atlas has already arrived at dealer showrooms in Kazakhstan, and soon it will appear in Russia, as previously reported by Chinese Cars. Atlas/Boyue L is a new generation of the Atlas Pro familiar to Russians, but the only thing the crossover has in common with its predecessor is the name. The next generation of Atlas is based on the CMA platform, the same as the Tugella and Monjaro, while the Atlas Pro is built on the NL-3 “trolley”.

The design of the exterior and interior was completely revised, and the engine range also changed. For example, in Kazakhstan, the new Atlas is offered with two power units to choose from: a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 174 horsepower and a two-liter engine that develops 218 horsepower. In both cases, the drive is front-wheel drive, and the gearbox is a seven-speed “robot” with two clutches. The crossover has front-wheel drive. The same combination of engine and gearbox can be expected in Russia.

The “basic” Atlas accelerates to “hundreds” in 9.7 seconds, and the top speed is 190 kilometers per hour. The top-end crossover requires 8.2 seconds to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour, and its top speed is 215 kilometers per hour. Average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 6.8 and 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers, respectively. Prices range from 13,990,000 to 14,990,000 tenge (2.67 – 2.86 million rubles at today’s exchange rate).

Earlier it became known that Geely is preparing four new models for Russia, which will be officially sold on our market: Preface L, the new Atlas (in some markets it is sold under the name Starray), Atlas Cool and Okavango L.
