In an unprecedented move, the traffic police have introduced a method for motorists to self-report road accidents in an astonishingly short time of 30 minutes. This innovative approach, known as the Europrotocol, allows individuals to manage incident documentation through the State Services portal without directly involving law enforcement agencies.

This user-friendly approach aims to streamline the process and speed up the reporting of accidents without the direct presence of law enforcement. The State Traffic Inspectorate provides detailed instructions to motorists who wish to use the Europrotocol. These guidelines describe the specific terms, requirements, and steps of the self-registration process.

The simplified Europrotocol procedure is subject to certain conditions that participants must comply with. These terms are designed to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information provided during the self-registration process. The State Traffic Inspectorate emphasizes the mandatory requirements for participants who choose the Europrotocol.

These requirements include verification of accounts on the State Services portal, limiting participation to two cars, and the availability of valid insurance policies. Since both participants are using mobile devices, the entire registration process is estimated to take no more than 30 minutes. In general, this is very convenient, but it is important to comply with all the criteria.
