Journalists from the Spanish publication km77 tested the restyled BMW X5 crossover, which was challenged by the traditional “moose test”. During the races, the car must suddenly change lanes – as if meeting a real animal – into the adjacent lane and return back to its own. Oddly enough, the Bavarian crossover failed to perform this maneuver at a speed of 77 kilometers per hour, and the behavior of the German model in an extreme situation disappointed experts.

In the hands of journalists was a BMW X5 in the xDrive30d version, equipped with a 298-horsepower diesel engine combined with a 48-volt starter-generator, 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This is not the top and not the sportiest version, since there is also a “charged” M version.

In the best attempt, the electric car stayed in the corridor of cones at a speed of 72 kilometers per hour, which is not a passing result for the “moose test”. Experts recognized the generally good predictability of reactions to steering movements, but they expected much more refined handling from the model of the Bavarian brand.
