We have already told you that Livan is the Lifan brand reborn with the support of Geely. The companies created a joint project less than two years ago, and just yesterday the Livan range consisted of a single X3 Pro model. Today, sales of two new products began on the Russian market – the X6Pro crossover and the S6Pro sedan, prices for which start at approximately 2.5 million rubles. We studied the new products at the presentation and tell you what interesting things can be found in the new Livans. After all, this is exactly how – through “e” – representatives of the brand ask to pronounce its name.

The X6Pro crossover and S6Pro sedan have common engines and gearboxes. And this is the strong point of the new products, because the dynamics of any version in any body fits within 10 seconds when accelerating to 100 km/h.

The 1.5 turbo engine has two boost levels – 147 and 180 horsepower with considerable torque of 270 and 290 Nm, respectively. At the same time, the maximum speed of any of the new Livans is 190 km/h, and the fastest in the sprint to “hundreds” is the sedan with a result of 8.4 seconds.

The transmission will always be the same: a 7-speed “robot” of our own design driving the front wheels. Livenovtsy assure that it is very reliable.

Another large common detail that makes the two models similar is the front panel in the cabin. The information block combines two large displays and one small additional one. The functionality of the latter is not yet entirely clear, but in the photograph you can see icons for multimedia applications and climate control. Conceptually, this is reminiscent of the Changan model, and we will judge the convenience of the solution after a test drive.

The difference in the interiors appears in the center console area. The seats differ (both have a fashionable design with a headrest integrated into the back), the organization of the space around the selector, the windows in the roof (the sedan has a regular sunroof, while the crossover has a panoramic one), the design of the door panels – the crossover has an original sharp-angled ornament . There are three classic A-format USB charging ports.

The space in the back row is quite typical for this class – neither of the two cars can be called cramped. It’s interesting that the acoustics are different: the speaker grilles in the X6Pro crossover have Geely written on them, while the S6Pro sedan has the Sound by dts marking there. This is a company that produces audio solutions for cinemas and computer equipment. So perhaps the sedan will even produce something interesting in terms of sound. There was no opportunity to check this time.

And in general, the sedan seems to be a little more modern in its details – this is evidenced even by the scheme for opening the gas tank (the engine digests 92 gasoline) by pressing the hatch, and not with a cabin lever, as in a crossover.

One more detail: Atlas tires are used here (the brand belongs to the Linglong concern) with a declared reduced noise level. The crossover has wheels of the same brand, but without an emphasis on noiselessness, but with the SUV marking.

Of course, the whole difference in cross-country ability between the models is in the geometry under the bottom: the crossover has a slightly shorter wheelbase and a ground clearance of 190 versus 150 mm.

The X6Pro crossover is available in three trim levels and four colors (the most spectacular is emerald) at prices of 2,629,900, 2,739,900 and 2,829,900 rubles.

The S6 Pro sedan is also offered in three versions, but in three colors (shades similar to the crossover, but no green) at prices of 2,549,900, 2,639,900 and 2,749,900 rubles. That is, on average, about 100 thousand cheaper than a crossover. The closest understandable and familiar competitors are Omoda C5 and S5, which cost a little less than the Livans.

The equipment of the new products is quite typical for this class – without obvious biases in one direction or another. Live impressions of how the interiors are executed are closer to “cheap and cheerful.” Mainly due to modest materials and lack of bright solutions.

However, we won’t rush to conclusions before the test drive. At the presentation, the brand’s motto was heard: try, compare, choose! We only welcome such confidence in the product and will definitely follow the call – then we will announce the verdict. /m
