The British company TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) presented a luxurious Supercat restomod with a V12 engine. It is based on the classic Jaguar XJS but features significant mechanical and visual changes to improve its performance on road and track.

Its design was created by digital artist Khyzyl Salim in collaboration with renowned designer and collector Magnus Walker, who joined the TWR development team. The restomod looks like a race car thanks to its pronounced aerodynamic components and sports wheels.

The angular, wide fenders blend nicely with the rest of the body, leading to a large ducktail spoiler at the rear. Other innovations include modern LED optics, an enlarged splitter, an equally large diffuser and side exhaust pipes.

The Supercat will also get a new interior, but nothing is known about it yet. From the looks of it, we’re expecting heavily bolstered seats and lightweight materials.

TWR didn’t go into detail about the specifications, but it did give us a good idea of what’s lurking under the long, vented hood. The supercharged V12 engine will produce over 600 hp. (447 kW), making it significantly more powerful than any road-going Jaguar XJS. The engine will be paired with a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.

It’s safe to assume that the restomod will feature a thoroughly redesigned chassis reflecting TWR’s racing pedigree. The company said the project has been in development for nearly three years and has undergone an “exhaustive program of testing, development and tuning.”

First customer deliveries of the TWR Supercat are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024. Production will be limited to 88 examples in honor of the TWR Jaguar XJR-9’s victory at Le Mans in 1988. Prices start at 225,000 pounds sterling (more than 26 million rubles). In addition to the UK, restomod will also be available in all major international markets, including the US.
