The classic Japanese sports car Datsun 240Z has been turned into an electric car with a power plant from Tesla. The new spectacular project is called The Legacy. The debut of the stylish project took place at the SEMA 2023 exhibition.

The creation of a unique project began with the search for a donor. It was a 240Z with a rusty body and chassis. Next, the designers replaced most of the body parts with elements made of carbon fiber.

On the mechanical side, the Japanese electric car received a pair of battery packs and a battery management system from Tesla. The batteries were placed in the car in such a way as to optimize the weight distribution along the axles.

Since electric vehicles, especially high-performance ones, are prone to overheating, the design team also made a significant number of improvements to the cooling system, installing powerful fans, new coolant pipes and radiators.

Unfortunately, the authors did not publish a single shot of the car in motion. However, during the international exhibition he received several awards, including first place in the Pit & Paddock Best of Show category.

Also, the authors of the interesting project do not report anything about the dynamic characteristics of the electric mod. We hope that details will appear after test trials of the spectacular retro car.
