At the end of 2022, Ford introduced the GT Mk IV track supercar, which will be the last version of the current generation Ford GT model and will be produced in quantities of 67 copies. The American automaker has been working on its exclusive model for almost a year to make the public debut of the final version of the supercar at the Velocity Invitational event in California. Moreover, the car was immediately shown in action – at the Sonoma Raceway.

The project is a joint creation of Ford Performance’s factory racing division and Canadian engineering team Multimatic, who have completely redesigned the original supercar.

The extended chassis is combined with a new carbon fiber body, carefully designed from an aerodynamic point of view, and seriously modified components. However, detailed technical specifications of the GT Mk IV have not yet been disclosed.

The $1.7 million track supercar will be produced in a limited edition of 67 units to commemorate the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans victory of the first-generation Ford GT40. It was expected that the first buyers would receive their Ford GT Mk IV in late spring 2023, but the car was shown in its production version only in the first half of November, so customers will now have to wait until 2024 for supercars.
