The next World Expo 2030 will take place in 2030, with Italy, Saudi Arabia and South Korea competing for the right to host it. The latter decided to use its automotive industry as an argument, using new models of the Genesis brand and the Ioniq sub-brand as advertising media. Three cars, with the participation of artist Jay Flow, were turned into art cars for the High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly.

20 electric vehicles at once, including the Genesis G80 Electrified sedans, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 liftback and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 hatchback, received a special livery from contemporary artist Jay Flow.

In his signature graffiti-inspired style, the artist painted the slogan “Busan is ready” onto the body. Additional decorative elements were waves and cartoon characters, which Jay Flow uses in most of his works.

The art cars accompanied the High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly and were exhibits at the Genesis House New York exhibition in the Meatpacking District in Manhattan. Rome, Riyadh and Busan are vying for the right to host the 2030 World Expo. The Bureau International des Expositions will determine the city for World Expo 2030 in November 2023.
