The authors of the Hagerty channel staged another race in a straight line, in which they brought the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N electric car, which debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2023 and became the most powerful Hyundai production car, head to head with powerful premium crossovers. The electric car’s rivals in the straight race were the Jaguar F-Pace SVR, Maserati Grecale Trofeo, Lamborghini Urus Performante and Porsche Macan GTS.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N has electric motors installed on the front and rear axles – in total they develop 650 horsepower. Naturally, the hatchback has all-wheel drive. The electric car weighs an impressive 2205 kilograms. The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is equipped with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that develops 550 horsepower.
Hyundai will send standard Ioniq 5 N to Pikes Peak
The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, and the vehicle weighs 2181 kilograms. Under the hood of the Maserati Grecale Trofeo is a 523-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 petrol turbo engine combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The model weighs 2077 kilograms.
The Lamborghini Urus Performante has a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 with 657 horsepower, coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. All this falls on a mass of 2263 kilograms. As for the Porsche Macan GTS, it is equipped with a 434-horsepower 2.9-liter V6 turbo engine, a 7-speed robotic gearbox and all-wheel drive. The weight of the car is 1964 kilograms.
