The German studio, known for its projects based on predominantly German models, has recently expanded its scope of interest, adding to the modernization of modern cars also the refinement of classic cars. The firstborn of the Manhart Classic Cars line was the Italian Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V hatchback, which was turned into the Manhart Integrale 400, and now it is joined by the Manhart MH3 3.5 Turbo based on the E30 generation BMW M3 coupe.

Atelier from Wuppertal changes the standard 4-cylinder engine to an in-line 6-cylinder engine – this is a forced 3.5-liter unit from the Alpina B7 S Turbo based on the BMW 5 Series in the E12 body. What’s more, a K27 turbocharger from Kuhnle, Kopp and Kausch, an intercooler and a sports exhaust system increased the engine output from 330 horsepower and 500 Nm to 405 horsepower and 650 Nm.

The motor is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, and a Drexler differential with a 25 percent lock and an additional radiator is installed on the rear axle of the sports car. The coupe received Brembo brakes and H&R coilovers in the suspension. Visually, the Manhart MH3 3.5 Turbo differs from the base model with new 19-inch Concave One wheels, a carbon fiber splitter and carbon fiber spoiler, tinted taillights and a matte green body wrap.

The interior is trimmed in red leather, complemented by a three-spoke Momo sports steering wheel and a wooden gear knob with the Manhart logo. In the left part of the middle ventilation deflector there is a built-in display of the sensor that controls the parameters of the engine. Unlike the Manhart Integrale 400, the cost of the new Manhart MH3 3.5 Turbo has not been named, but it is obvious that the restomod based on the German model will not be affordable and mass-produced for sure.
