The first batch of hybrid Polestone 01 from Rox Motors was delivered at the end of January this year, but now the Chinese automaker has confirmed its intention to fully enter the Russian market – the Chinese Cars portal reports this. The Italian design studio Pininfarina was responsible for the appearance of the only model with index 01, and its production is carried out by BAW (Beijing Automobile Works). In Russia, the distributor of Rox Motors will be KaiHe, which has already begun the certification process for Polestone 01.
By the end of 2024, KaiHe expects to receive vehicle type approval for a hybrid SUV, which will allow large quantities of cars to be imported en masse to Russia. Already, according to a representative of the distributor, Russians are buying 60 copies of Polestone 01 per month – these are the cars that were semi-officially imported into the country at the beginning of the year. The company’s immediate plans include finding dealers and Russifying cars.
An officially imported model will cost approximately seven million rubles. In the meantime, non-Russified “zero first” without OTTS are selling for 6.35 million.

Externally, Polestone 01 resembles a Land Rover Defender, especially in its silhouette and glazing line. It has double wishbone suspension at the front and multi-link at the rear, adaptive dampers, 205mm ground clearance, and approach and departure angles of 22.2 and 25.1 degrees respectively.

The hybrid SUV is driven by a pair of electric motors with a capacity of 476 horsepower, and a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine is responsible for recharging a battery with a capacity of 56.01 kilowatt-hours. In pure electric mode, the 01 travels 235 kilometers on the WLTP cycle, and in hybrid mode – 1,115 kilometers. Acceleration from zero to “hundreds” takes 5.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 190 kilometers per hour.
Polestone 01 is produced in two versions, for five and seven seats, and in Russia the three-row version costs less than the two-row one – 6.35 million rubles versus 6.5 million. In China, the model costs 349.9 thousand yuan, which in terms of the current exchange rate is 4.5 million rubles.
