It is no secret that after 2021, the structure of supply and demand in the Russian car market has changed, to put it mildly. Sales have fallen, many brands have left the market and even closed their assembly plants; Chinese manufacturers, on the contrary, have broken into the top sales and are assembling more and more cars in Russia. But what state is the car market in when looking at sales reports for 2023? How much has purchasing power really fallen, which brands have benefited the most and where does Lada stand?

This time we will impartially look at the results of the year and try to make a diagnosis: are we falling and the bottom has not yet been reached? Do we stagnate or recover at the sight of light at the end of the tunnel? These things will be discussed in a new podcast, which Ilya Frolov and Alexey Zhutikov invited the editor-in-chief of Autoreview Igor Vladimirsky to record. At the same time, let’s try to understand where lovers of German luxury moved, which Chinese companies were unable to adapt to the market (and there are such brands), and why the best-selling foreign car in Russia is now a crossover instead of a sedan? Watch the answers to these questions in the new video!

By the way, in the last episode of the podcast we talked about the tricks, pitfalls and subtleties when reselling cars – the guest of the podcast was the host of the YouTube channel “Syndicate Auto Show” Mikhail and in fact the most famous reseller in Russia. Mikhail told how much he earned on the first resold car, what awkward situations he got into and what dark secrets of this craft ordinary buyers do not see. Watch this episode at this link.

And before that, we looked at the Dubai car market, where, next to supercars, huge SUVs and budget cars for rental offices, the well-known Mercs and Mercedes from the early 2000s are sold. And they are sold at incredibly attractive prices. At the same time, they ended up in the dry and warm Emirates from Japan, where the cars are preserved surprisingly well.
