The Tesla electric pickup truck has not yet entered production, but special versions are already being created based on the model. Co-founder of Oracle Corporation and one of Tesla shareholders, businessman Larry Ellison, announced a modification of the Cybertruck for police during the Oracle CloudWork conference in Las Vegas. The electric pickup truck should become a new generation police car, but no time frame for the model’s appearance has yet been announced. Any technical details are also unknown.

“Very soon there will be a next generation police car. This is my favorite police car and this is Elon Musk’s favorite car. This is incredible. I know too much about her and some of it has yet to be revealed. The Cybertruck is very safe, very fast, it has a stainless steel body, and we don’t have to add extra screens or cameras to it because we can use the stock systems for police work,” Ellison said.

It is known that the police will be equipped with satellite communication technologies that will allow cops to constantly stay in touch, and in addition, the electric patrol pickup will receive support for voice commands and video streaming.

This will allow officers responding to a call to view live feeds from the body cameras of patrol officers already on the scene. Currently, various Tesla models are already used by the American police, but the timing of the appearance of a special modification of the Cybertruck in the cop fleet is not reported, since the date of entry into the market of a regular civilian electric pickup truck is unknown.
