The consulting agency InterBrand publishes an annual ranking of the most valuable brands in the world. There were only three automakers in the top ten: Toyota (sixth place), Mercedes-Benz (seventh place) and BMW (10th place). Tesla fell just short of the top 10 and took 12th place. In general, InterBrand notes that the auto industry is one of the most dynamically developing industries.

According to published statistics, Toyota’s brand value increased by eight percent over the year to reach $64.5 billion. The brand, compared to last year, moved up one position, Mercedes-Benz, rising in price by nine percent, to 61.4 billion. BMW added three positions at once and took 10th place for the first time with a value of 51.1 billion – 10 percent more than a year ago.

In the automotive segment, Tesla is next with $49.9 billion (+4 percent). Behind it only in 27th place is Honda ($24.4 billion, +6 percent). 32nd place went to Hyundai ($20.4 billion, +18 percent), 45th to Audi ($16.3 billion, +9 percent), 47th to Porsche ($16.2 billion, +20 percent), and the 50s – Volkswagen ($15.1 billion, +2 percent).

In the second half of the top 100 were Ford (51st place), Nissan (63rd place), Ferrari (70th place) and Kia (88th place). Of the 100 companies included in the rating, only 13 are automobile companies. The full list of the most valuable brands of 2023 is available on the InterBrand website.
