The three-meter electric car has a Go Kart Edition, which Geely describes as an “urban micro-electric kart.” The car differs from the regular Panda by a sportier-looking bumper and an imitation diffuser at the rear, special colors and 14-inch color-blocked wheels, as well as a wing on the roof.

Due to the “sporty” elements, the Go Kart turned out to be larger than the Panda Mini. Length and height increased by 85 millimeters, to 3150 and 1685 millimeters, respectively; width – by 18 millimeters, up to 1540.

The interior was not changed, retaining the narrow 9.2-inch diagonal dashboard, the eight-inch multimedia system tablet screen and the steering wheel truncated at the bottom. The equipment includes a navigator, remote control of the air conditioner, a wireless connection between the media system and a smartphone and a voice assistant. The trunk can accommodate up to 800 liters of cargo when the rear seat backs are folded.

The power plant has not become more powerful: the electric motor on the rear axle produces a maximum of 41 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. The capacity of the lithium iron phosphate battery is 17 kilowatt-hours, which allows you to travel up to 200 kilometers without recharging according to the Chinese CLTC measurement cycle. Maximum speed is 100 kilometers per hour. Express charging is available, with which you can replenish your energy reserve from 30 to 80 percent in half an hour.

Geely added a ladder and a brutal body kit to the cartoonish microcar. The exotic 20-year-old Smart ForTwo is being sold at the price of the new BMW 5 Series. The cheapest Chinese electric car has begun to be sold in Russia.

The manufacturer began accepting orders for the Panda Go Kart at the end of April, and full sales will start on May 9. The cost at the pre-order stage is 48,900 yuan – 628 thousand rubles. For comparison: Panda Mini with the same power reserve costs 40 thousand yuan (513 thousand rubles).

Meanwhile, Panda’s competitors have arrived: FAW has its own “toy” electric car. The other day, the Chinese state concern began selling the Bestune Pony hatchback with a 27-horsepower engine, a 170-kilometer power reserve and an even lower price – $3,900, which is equal to 360 thousand rubles.
