In the first quarter of 2023, sales of premium cars in the secondary market soared by more than 100 percent. This year there is no such growth, but cars are becoming more expensive. Compared to the end of last year, the average price increased by 11.3 percent to 7,550,000 rubles. And the most popular among cars under three years old was the Chinese “premium”, which surpassed the German one.

The rating of premium used cars for January-March 2024 was topped by the Zeekr 001 electric car with an average price of 5,950 rubles. Its share amounted to 5.66 percent of all sales of the three-year “premium”. Second place also went to the “Chinese” – the Voyah Free crossover with a share of 5.47 percent and a price of 4,440,000 rubles.

German products did not rise above the third line, and Voyah is followed by four BMWs: X5 (4.35 percent of the market and 11,221,000 rubles), X7 (3.31 percent, 13,499,000 rubles), 5-Series (3. 09 percent, 6,050,000 rubles) and X6 (2.8 percent, 11,950,000 rubles).

From seventh to tenth places went to Lexus RX, BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Land Rover Range Rover.

In March, demand for used cars fell slightly year-on-year: 49 thousand cars were sold (minus 1.6 percent). Against the backdrop of cooling interest, the number of advertisements on classified sites is growing. Sellers naturally reduce prices, but they are still higher than a year ago.
