The Shvabe holding, part of the Rostec state corporation, has created a thermal imaging system for transport. It allows you to drive cars in the dark and in zero visibility conditions. The system is suitable for reconnaissance, rescue, security and patrol vehicles, which will become almost invisible at night, since the headlights can be turned off.

The thermal imaging system was called “Vzglyad”. She is able to “see” a person at a distance of 300 meters, and equipment at a distance of half a kilometer, even with insufficient visibility.

“Vzglyad” operates on the basis of a thermal imager with a matrix resolution of 640×512. The complex is installed on the roof of the car and connects to a monitor in front of the driver, broadcasting the image in real time. The optical system of a thermally stabilized lens with a microbolometer is responsible for stability.

Putin instructed to ensure uninterrupted communication on the highways. In Russia, special conditions will be created for manufacturers of hybrid cars. In Russia, unmanned flying carsharing has been invented.

Engineers from the Vologda Optical-Mechanical Plant (VOMZ, part of Shvabe) worked on “Vzglyad”. The complex is about to be put into mass production. The planned volume is up to 100 thousand products per year.

In April, NAMI began testing Lada Vesta equipped with an autopilot. Tests were launched both at the test site and on public roads. There is no information about the future of the project, but the institute is confident that such technologies will be actively used in the near future.

Be careful, drunken toad!
