This is Qiyuan, recently introduced by the auto giant Changan and focused on the production of electric cars and hybrids. It has become the sixth separate brand under the Changan umbrella. Sales have not yet begun, but the company’s global representative office said that they have already thought about Qiyuan entering the Russian market and are currently discussing the possibility of export.

The first model of Qiyuan (read as “Qiyuan”) was the A07 liftback presented last summer with an almost five-meter body. The car, which competes in the same class as the Volkswagen ID.7, is unified in terms of technology with another model SL03 from Shenlan, another Changan brand.

The A07 is available in hybrid and electric versions. The first is equipped with an electric motor with 217 horsepower and a 95-horsepower 1.5 gasoline unit, which acts as an electricity generator. It recharges the traction battery with a capacity of 30 kilowatt-hours.

The “pure” electric car is equipped with a motor on the rear axle with a power of 258 horsepower and a battery with a capacity of 78 kilowatt-hours. The energy should be enough for more than 700 kilometers.

Probably, A07 will be the first Qiyuan to reach Russia if Changan decides to deliver. Later the line will expand by at least three models. However, this rhymes with Changan’s plans to present the widest model range in Russia: the Lamore sedan debuted in early September, which became the 15th model in the brand’s Russian line.
