AGR Automotive Group (AGR LLC) has rebranded the first retail outlets that sell Korean Hyundai and Kia cars under the Solaris logo. The first to transform in accordance with the brand’s style were Avilon on Volgogradsky Prospekt in Moscow and Elvis Premium in Saratov, and in total the dealer network includes 50 car dealerships throughout the country.
Solaris cars are produced at the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg, which was restarted in February of this year. The HS, HC, KRS and KRX models are sold under this brand – they are also familiar to Russians: Hyundai Solaris, Creta, Kia Rio and Rio X.
Demand for cars is good: at the end of April, AGR announced that it would increase production volumes, as Solaris were quickly selling out.

However, the main category of buyers are legal entities, such as taxis and car sharing, who used to buy budget Hyundai and Kia. They account for 65 percent of sales. 35 percent of the cars were purchased for private use.
The manufacturer did not immediately set prices for Solaris, allowing dealers to decide for themselves. However, even now, when the official price list is already available, real prices are higher. Moreover, the difference, according to the latest data, can exceed 700 thousand rubles.
