Sales of the updated GV70 crossover began in South Korea: the model was slightly transformed outside and inside, acquired a new large screen for the multimedia system and lost its diesel engine. The premiere took place back in April, and now prices have been announced – in the domestic market they start from 53.8 million won, which in terms of today’s exchange rate is 3.6 million rubles. Next in line is an update to the electric modification of the model.
The Genesis GV70, on sale since 2020, is a mid-size crossover SUV based on a rear-wheel drive platform. In South Korea, the GV70 is in good demand: sales grew by 17 percent last year, and the 2024 facelift could attract even more buyers to dealerships.

Changes in the exterior design are spotty and evolutionary in nature – for example, you can recognize the updated GV70 by the design of the radiator grille. The engine range is now represented by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol turbo engine that develops 304 horsepower, as well as a 3.5 twin-turbo six with 380 horsepower. The 202-horsepower 2.2-liter turbodiesel is no longer in the lineup. At least in South Korea.
As of 2021, the Genesis GV70 has an electric version called the Electrified GV70. It has a dual-engine power plant – a 217-horsepower electric motor is installed on the front and rear axles. In “Sport” mode, the combined output of the units is 489 horsepower, and acceleration to “hundreds” lasts only 4.5 seconds. The power reserve according to the Chinese CLTC cycle is 500 kilometers, and according to the Korean method – 400 kilometers. In the near future, the Electrified GV70 will be restyled.
