The Fastback cross-coupe, which debuted in Brazil in the fall of 2022 and was nicknamed “the poor man’s X4” for its low price, is now available in a “charged” version. The Abarth sports division has changed the crossover’s suspension settings, making it sportier, and rebuilt the steering and braking system. Externally, the Fastback Abarth can be recognized by its scorpion logos, black trim and red accents on the bumper and wheels.

Prices for the new product were announced a few days ago: in Brazil, the Fiat Fastback Abarth costs from 159,990 reais (2.9 million rubles at today’s exchange rate), and this is the most expensive version in the line. For example, the basic Fastback is priced at 121,990 reais (2.2 million rubles). The model also has a limited edition called Fastback powered by Abarth – this car, like the “full-fledged” version of Abarth, has a 180-horsepower 1.3-liter turbo engine under the hood (185 horsepower for ethanol).

The Fastback Abarth has a unique feature – the Poison sport driving mode, which is activated by a red button and provides faster gear changes. From zero to 100 kilometers per hour, the “charged” crossover accelerates in 7.6 seconds versus 8.1 seconds for a regular Fastback, and the top speed is 220 kilometers per hour.

The sports version has ground clearance of 215 millimeters, that is, it is five millimeters less than that of a regular cross. Stiffer shock absorbers are installed, the bumper design and interior design with red accents are different.

The complete set is maximum. The list of equipment includes ADAS assistance systems, air conditioning, wireless charging for a smartphone, a seven-inch diagonal virtual instrument panel and a 10.1-inch multimedia system screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
