The 2024 Beijing Auto Show has become the arena for the presentation of a range of new models from Mercedes-Benz. Among the debutants are the new plug-in hybrid Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long Axle with an extended wheelbase, the Mercedes-Benz CLE convertible, and the list is completed by the new MB.OS operating system, which can be integrated into the MMA architecture and used on future models of the company.

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long Axle is equipped with the third generation MBUX intelligent multimedia system, with support for 5G and a voice assistant with “mind reading”. The hybrid powertrain, consisting of a 2.0-liter turbo engine and an electric motor, produces 313 hp. and 550 Nm of torque. The battery capacity is 25.4 kWh, providing a range of 106 km on electric power. Charging from 10% to 80% takes 20 minutes.

The Mercedes-Benz CLE exudes sporty character with its sweeping coupe silhouette and long wheelbase. The soft top opens and closes silently in 20 seconds at speeds up to 60 km/h. The interior is distinguished by its design and the adjustable tilt of the central display to eliminate glare. Leather seats reflect infrared radiation, remaining cool even in the sun.

MB.OS is more than just an operating system. It includes various intelligent technologies that enable the autonomous driving system, communication modules and much more. The first MMA-based production car with MB.OS will roll off the assembly line in 2025. (photo: news.yiche.com)
