We are talking about hybrids and electric vehicles – there will be three of the first, and two of the second. This was reported by the portal “Chinese Automobiles” with reference to the general director of the company “Chery Automobiles Rus” Vladimir Shmakov, who shared the plans of the newly formed sub-brand Chery NEV for the next year. On the slide shown to journalists, the new products were listed by class: these are two electric cars of the A- and C-classes, as well as hybrids of the E-, C- and B-classes.

Among the “green” models that will be launched on the Russian market in 2024, “Chinese cars” include the hybrid Chery Tiggo 9 (it will also be available in a gasoline version) and the Arrizo 8 with a gasoline-electric unit with a capacity of about 360 horsepower. And the hybrid Tiggo 4 Pro will debut in the B-segment.

As for electric cars, the A-Class will likely feature the eQ1 city car. This is a rear-wheel drive electric car with a length of only 3.2 meters, that is, slightly smaller than the Smart ForFour, which can be found in car sharing. It is driven by a 49-horsepower electric motor and has a range of a modest 300 kilometers. The maximum speed of the eQ1 is 100 kilometers per hour.

The second Chery “electric train” for Russia is called the eQ7 (C-class) mid-size crossover. It travels 500 kilometers without recharging, and the power of its electric motor is 210 horsepower. There is an alternative version: the C-class could feature Chery Arrizo E, which is already sold, for example, in Tajikistan. This is a 136-horsepower sedan with a power reserve of 405-455 kilometers.

Earlier it became known that a separate dealer network would be created for the Chery NEV sub-brand, currently represented by two models, Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-in Hybrid and Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid. It will include 70 salons throughout the country.
