The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the People’s Republic of China shared certification documents that reveal details about the Xspace single-volume vehicle of the Geely concern. For now, the new product is announced under the British brand LEVC, but there will also be an option under the parent brand Geely. We are talking about a commercial minivan with a three- or four-row interior, an electric motor and a power reserve of up to 600 kilometers.

The length/width/height of the Xspace minivan are 5316/1998/1940 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 3185 mm. The single electric motor will develop 272 horsepower, and CATL cells with a capacity of 73 to 120 kilowatt-hours will be placed under the floor. Fast charging is promised from 10 to 80 percent in half an hour, and in ten minutes you can replenish the power reserve equivalent to 200 kilometers.

It’s not said directly, but it looks like the XSpace will share the SEA architecture with the Zeekr 009. The commercial single-volume minivan is slightly larger in length and height, but is inferior to the premium minivan in wheelbase and width. The new LEVC will probably have rear-wheel drive, spring suspension and a simplified interior. Options such as retractable running boards, a panoramic roof, longitudinally adjustable second-row seats and “aerodynamic” wheels are announced.

The LEVC brand is known as a manufacturer of London taxis, so the new minivan can be considered the unofficial successor to the famous black cabs. However, judging by the equipment, a business van with separate seats and a fairly comfortable interior will hit the market first. The new product will definitely be cheaper than the Zeekr 009, a guideline could be 250 thousand yuan (35 thousand dollars) – the price of the Iveco Fidato EV with a high roof.
