Xie Jiao, General Director of Liven Motors Rus, shared his plans for the next year with Gazeta.ru. He said that the launch of an electric car and some new product with an internal combustion engine are planned, and both cars will be crossovers, since the company is relying on this segment. Jiao did not rule out that in the future, Livan could assemble cars in Russia, and with a high degree of probability this will be contract production at an already existing plant.

In an interview, the head of Liven Motors Rus noted that crossovers are especially popular in Russia, so the model line will be replenished with just such cars. At the same time, answering a question about the prospects for local production, Jiao mentioned the sedan because “there is a request from corporate clients.”

Livan is negotiating the contract assembly of sedans with a “large dealer holding”, and several rounds of discussions have already taken place. Based on this, assumptions can be made. Currently, the assembly site is owned by Avilon, which acquired the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region and, according to rumors, will soon buy the Hyundai assembly site in St. Petersburg.

There is also Avtodom, which now owns a plant in Yesipovo near Moscow, where Mercedes-Benz cars used to be assembled. However, it is unlikely that Avtodom will become a partner of Livan, since the former Mercedes-Benz plant plans to produce premium cars, and the Chinese brand sells only mass-produced and relatively inexpensive models.

Russia is a strategically important market for Lebanon, and the company is actively developing other export destinations – the Middle East and South America. The brand’s current model line consists of the X3 Pro and X6 Pro crossovers, as well as the S6 Pro sedan, built on the Geely Emgrand platform.
