Even before the official start of sales in China, the new Great Wall Motors model collected over 25 thousand pre-orders, 10 thousand of which were placed in the first 10 days, that is, a thousand per day. On October 10, the crossover finally appeared at dealers: for a hybrid built on the same platform as the Dargo, in China they are asking from 160 thousand yuan (a little more than 2.1 million rubles).

According to CarNewsChina, Haval’s sales in the home market are going strong: in September, before the launch of the Raptor, the brand sold over 73.7 thousand cars, which is 37 percent more than in September 2022. The company completed the first quarter of 2023 with a result of 203.5 thousand sold vehicles – +22 percent compared to the previous quarter. And in nine months, almost half a million cars were sold – this is 9.1 percent more than last year.

Haval’s recent launches include the 2024 Big Dog crossover and the new H5. Starting today, they are joined by the Raptor, a hybrid that can be confused with the Dargo on the road due to its similar design. The base for it is a 378-horsepower unit and a 19.1-kilowatt-hour battery: on pure electricity, such a crossover travels 102 kilometers. The more expensive option has a battery with a capacity of 27.5 kilowatt-hours, the output of its installation is 384 horsepower, and the range without starting the internal combustion engine is 145 kilometers. The Raptor also has all-wheel drive with a locking rear differential, as well as a traction vectoring system and seven transmission modes.

The Raptor is equipped with a 13.2-inch virtual instrument panel, a 14.6-inch multimedia system tablet, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, high-precision navigation and a set of electronic driving assistants. Whether this model will appear in Russia is still unknown.

As of early October, the Haval model line in Russia consists of seven models, all of which belong to the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs). This is the newest M6 (from 2.17 million rubles with discounts), Dargo and Dargo X (from 3 and 3.7 million rubles, respectively), Jolion (from 1.9 million rubles), F7 and F7x (from 2.4 and 2 .45 million rubles), as well as H9 (from 4.09 million rubles).
