The car has officially begun to be delivered, Gazeta.Ru reports with reference to the joint press service of the Avtodom and AvtoSpetsTsentr companies. The companies have signed an agreement with FAW to supply the VA3, a relative of the Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Polo, which is assembled at the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture in China and sold under the Jetta sub-brand.
“FAW bought the Volkswagen Jetta. There is only one distributor. But they did not rename the model, since it has proven itself in the European market,” the dealers said.

The Jetta VA3 is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 112 horsepower, paired with a manual transmission or a six-speed Aisin automatic. The list of equipment includes an anti-theft system and a multimedia system with four speakers.
Volkswagen separated Jetta into a separate brand in 2019 specifically for China, where it was very popular. Production was established at the FAW-Volkswagen plant in Chengdu. Previously, the “parallel” crossover VS5 and its extended version VS7, as well as the VA3 sedan, were already brought to Russia.
A year ago, suppliers valued the latter at 1.75 million rubles. The official price turned out to be almost the same: Avtodom and AutoSpetsTsentr will offer the basic VA3 for 1.8 million. Sales will start until the end of November.
