The new generation Subaru WRX sedan, presented in the fall of 2021, may receive a flagship modification in 2023 – although it will not replace the STi version, which the new product will not have at all, it will become a kind of alternative. A completely new modification of the WRX TR has been announced for the model, which is addressed to enthusiasts. The premiere of the car will take place at the Subaru brand festival, so you can expect the debut of the fastest road version of the current generation WRX sedan.

The new Subaru WRX TR will be presented as part of Subiefest Florida. This is the largest annual gathering of Subaru fans in the state of Florida, taking place at the legendary Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach.

Subaru Motorsports USA driver Travis Pastrana and Subaru rallycross driver Bucky Lasek will debut a new car in 2023. Judging by the only teaser, the WRX TR will receive new dark gray wheels with low-profile tires and Brembo brakes.

Other improvements have not been announced, nor has it been announced whether the special version will be aimed at circuits or fast off-road driving. Currently, the Subaru WRX has racing versions of the 2023 WRX NBR Challenge for the 24-hour Nordschleife and the 2023 WRX Rally Challenge for the Japanese National Classic Rally Championship, as well as a rally sedan variant for the American Rally Association Championship series
