As the British Autocar found out, the RS version will soon join the second-generation Kodiaq family, and it will not be a hybrid crossover, but a car with a powerful gasoline engine. Under the hood it will have a two-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of about 270 horsepower, paired with a robotic gearbox. Drive – full.

It is highly likely that the new Kodiaq with the RS prefix will have a retuned adaptive chassis with two-valve shock absorbers. And from zero to 100 kilometers per hour, the 270-horsepower crossover, according to preliminary estimates, will accelerate in 5.5 seconds.

If what Autocar writes is confirmed, the Kodiaq RS will not only surpass its predecessor in power, but will also become the most powerful car in the entire family. But until the “charged” crossover goes on sale – and this will happen in 2024 – at the top of the range will be the plug-in hybrid Kodiaq with a setup consisting of a 1.5-liter combustion engine and an electric motor. In total they develop 204 horsepower.

With the change of generation, the Kodiaq was transformed in accordance with the new Skoda corporate style, acquired a larger trunk, and its interior began to look more modern due to the digital dashboard and central touchscreen. The new product will go on sale in the second quarter of next year; prices for European markets have not yet been announced.
