At the welding site for SGR family bodies, a robotic system for rolling front doors was introduced, Quto reports, citing sources at the plant. The new “robot” will improve the quality of production of parts and eliminate the production of defective parts. As a result, the front doors will fit better, resulting in smaller gaps, and the Loaf’s interior will retain heat better.
The plant workers produced all the equipment for the new complex themselves. The main element of the complex is lodgements or “beds”, which will ensure better positioning of the front doors of the “Loaf”. In this way, UAZ expects to solve the problem with drafts due to large gaps between the doors and the body.
This is not the first improvement to the “Loaf” assembly introduced this fall. Earlier, a new filling station appeared on the SGR line, with the help of which the engine cooling system is filled with antifreeze. It can automatically determine the type of “Loaf” located on the conveyor and issue the required dosage of coolant.
Meanwhile, “Loaf” celebrated another anniversary. 65 years have passed since the release of the classic UAZ-450, in honor of which the Ulyanovsk team released a special series of SGR with bright body colors – green and yellow “Raptor”. A total of 120 copies of the anniversary car will be produced, costing 1,625,000 rubles each.
