The Acura Electric Vision concept, created by a design team from the brand’s Los Angeles studio, debuted in California. Acura has previously hinted at a possible electric-powered successor to the NSX, and the first preview of the prototype confirms that it is indeed in the works.

Simultaneously with the Acura ZDX electric crossover and its “charged” version of the ZDX Type S, the Acura Electric Vision concept debuted at Monterey Car Week. It was created in the Los Angeles studio of the brand and demonstrates the evolution of the Precision Crafted Performance corporate style in relation to electric cars. While Acura only talks about the car as a design study, it could be a nod to the next NSX, which is rumored to return as an electric car.

For now, Acura is ready to show only mid-engined proportions and head optics in the style of the ARX-06 sports prototype for the new LMDh class. Behind the Electric Vision is a massive diffuser, instead of side mirrors, tiny cameras on legs. Green accents are a marker for the electric propulsion system. If the supercar is still launched into the series, then this will happen before the beginning of the next decade. And the model will be based on the e:Architecture platform developed from scratch.

Another novelty of the Japanese may be the successor to the legendary S2000. In 2024, the model will turn a quarter of a century old, and this fall, Honda will celebrate its 75th anniversary. The company is allegedly preparing a surprise for these two memorable dates – according to unofficial information, we are talking about the “heir” of the S2000. Moreover, it will also be an electric car, and even with the Type R nameplate.
