The Los Angeles International Auto Show hosted the premiere of several new models, including an electric crossover from Cadillac. True, this premiere has so far taken place only in words – the car was not physically brought to the exhibition. The manufacturer only published two official photographs of the new product and outlined the approximate timing of the model’s appearance on the market. But Chinese certification authorities made it possible to find out a little more information about the future crossover.

The new Cadillac Optiq crossover has become the smallest electric vehicle in the IQ family, which currently includes the Cadillac Lyriq and Cadillac Escalade IQ crossovers, as well as the flagship Cadillac Celestiq sedan.

Detailed information about the new product, including a list of equipment and cost of the electric vehicle, will be disclosed only in 2024. So far, the American automaker has not said anything about Optiq.

However, back in the summer of 2023, some data about the crossover was released in China, which had already been certified by local regulatory authorities. According to the leaked information, the Cadillac Optiq will be similar in size to the XT5 model. There is no information about all-wheel drive, but it is known that two versions will go on sale – with electric motors of 205 and 245 horsepower.
