Prices have been announced in China for the Avatr 12, a fastback with a spectacular design, a five-meter body and a “battery” power plant. At the start of sales, they offer three versions with one or two electric motors. The starting price for a four-door with rear-wheel drive and a power reserve of 700 kilometers is 300,800 yuan. For comparison, the basic Zeekr 001 costs the same 300,000 yuan, but offers a choice of drive type.

The Avatr 12 fastback debuted two months ago. The new product was created with the participation of three Chinese corporations: Changan, Huawei and CATL. For now, the buyer will have to put up with a single traction battery with a capacity of 94.5 kilowatt-hours. The rear-wheel drive version (313 horsepower, 370 Nm) can travel 700 kilometers, all-wheel drive (578 horsepower, 650 Nm) – only 650 kilometers (CLTC).

Features of the top version are a panoramic roof with an area of more than 2.5 square meters, a widescreen 4K display with a diagonal of 35.4 inches, an audio system with 27 speakers, Huawei autopilot, cameras instead of rear-view mirrors and interior fragrance. The entire interface is entrusted to the 15.6-inch touchscreen. It is curious that one of the screens… is on the hood: it is needed for icons and greetings.

The most equipped Avatr 12 costs 400,800 yuan (equivalent to 55.7 thousand dollars). Deliveries in China will begin before the end of the year, and in 2024 the four-door will probably be exported. Avatr cars may also appear in Russia: Changan intends to supply them, although the timing of the expansion of the already impressive line has not been announced.
