The Volga in the USSR was a prestigious car for the elite, but even among them there were models that were not sold to mere mortals even after many years of waiting. And this time, the bloggers of the PrivetTachka channel not only found the very “general’s” Volga GAZ-3102, which was relied only on the top of the Soviet Union for distribution, but also found that it had not been driven for the last 16 years. In general, in front of you is a real time capsule that has preserved the atmosphere of the day when it left the walls of the factory.

And this is not just the so-called “general” or “ministerial” Volga, which lasted for 27 years in production – this is the most sophisticated and rather rare version of the last months of production. In general, believe me, you did not expect such luxury from the GAZ plant. But under the hood there is also a Chrysler engine, which later migrated under the hood of the Volga Cyber. But how is this car so well preserved and what secrets does it still hold? More in the new issue.

By the way, on the basis of the GAZ-3102, a version for the KGB services with a V8 engine was also produced, and we have already met with a similar model, but based on the classic Volga GAZ-24. Any modifications for the special services, by the way, were carefully disguised in these vehicles, and we talked about this in detail in that video about the “twenty-four”. We also recommend a story about another black “ministerial” car that was not destined to be born: the Marussia L2 sedan. Look at the alternative history of our car industry on the example of the surviving layout of Marusya. /m
