Together with the American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) workshop, the AEV GMC Sierra Grande concept car has been prepared, which will decorate the stand at the SEMA 2023 exhibition. De facto, we are talking about a shortened version of the GMC Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition with a utilitarian body, a two-door cab, reinforced suspension and off-road accessories. Serial assembly of the trucks has not been confirmed.

The AEV GMC Sierra Grande is a further development of the extreme heavy-duty pickup truck with the factory AT4X package and third-party partner tuning. It’s based on a regular Sierra 2500 HD truck, then adds an advanced AT4X package with a custom suspension, Multimatic DSSV shocks, skid plates and 40-inch outer-diameter mud tires.

We are not talking about a pickup truck, but about a real truck with an aluminum platform 2.44 meters long, a spare wheel mounted behind the cab, rear air suspension, power bumpers and a kangurin. A snorkel, a pair of winches, and four huge LED headlights are standardly installed. Under the hood is a standard 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel (477 horsepower, 1322 Nm) coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with a reduction gear.

The AEV GMC Sierra Grande will be unveiled live at the SEMA show in Las Vegas on October 31st. Additional information about the project will also appear there: it is possible that such trucks will eventually be produced in small series.
