It will be shown at the CES consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, and, judging by the teaser, the show car will have a wedge-shaped body in the spirit of the hydrogen Kiwami 20 years ago. Alas, there are no details about the upcoming new product yet, so we will have to wait for the official premiere.

Honda will show off a new electric concept at the CES consumer electronics show in early January. The wedge-shaped body makes it unlike any of the existing production models, although in the history of Honda there has already been a car with such an appearance. This is a 20-year-old Kiwami show car, equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain and a supercapacitor instead of a conventional battery.

Honda presented several more promising electric vehicles in October at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The world premiere was celebrated by the Pocket Concept folding electric moped and the Sustaina-C hatchback, the design of which used parts made of acrylic resin. Also debuting in Japan was the Specialty Sports Concept prototype and the two-seat CI-MEV with “cooperative intelligence” and autonomous driving systems.

Honda’s global plans are to introduce 30 electric models by the beginning of the next decade and increase their global sales to two million units annually. In the United States, by 2040, the brand will completely abandon fuel-powered vehicles and will sell only electric and hydrogen vehicles.
