The restyled car, the premiere of which was timed to coincide with the inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is currently being produced individually only for the Special Purpose Garage (GON) in a version with an extended body. Commercial deliveries of sedans to customers will start only next year, TASS reports with reference to the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

Aurus Senat, introduced in 2018, has undergone its first update. The car received a new radiator grille, a lightweight hood and more technologically advanced optics: the car now has adaptive matrix headlights at the front, and new LED lights at the rear.

The equipment of the limousine included a digital mirror, a night vision system, and additional cameras. Interior acoustics have been improved, the layout of controls has been optimized, and a new NAMI media system has appeared.

The engineers also improved the suspension, brakes, fuel supply system and automatic transmission. The Aurus is still powered by a hybrid unit based on a 4.4-liter internal combustion engine, developing 598 horsepower.

Along with the modernized Aurus, the Merlon electric motorcycle debuted on May 7: the limousine was accompanied by nine motorcycles. Orders for Merlon are already being accepted, and live sales will also start in 2025.
