In the spring of 2023, the Japanese company Acura introduced the “charged” Integra Type S liftback, and in 2024 the novelty will already make its debut in racing. Factory division Honda Performance Development (HPD) has announced a version of the car to participate in the championship TC America Series, which is held in the United States by the promotional company Stephane Ratel Organization. In the future, the novelty can also be used in the Canadian Sports Car Championship Canada. The main improvements of the new Acura affected the engine and suspension.

Despite the fact that the Integra Type S is prepared according to the requirements of the top TCX standings, the technical regulations of even this class imply minimal differences from the road version of the model. The 2.0-litre petrol turbo gets new mounts, a Motec M1 ECU, an HPD/Borla intake, and a sport exhaust, boosting the 325-horsepower road engine to 360 horsepower.

This necessitated the installation of an upgraded cooling system including an HPD radiator, intercooler and auxiliary oil coolers. The power unit is combined with a 6-speed sequential gearbox, and a differential from HPD and Cusco is installed on the rear axle.

The liftback received a suspension with adjustable shock absorbers and a customizable rear anti-roll bar, new levers and sports shock absorbers and springs. Other upgrades include a dedicated fuel tank, as well as essential sports accessories such as a steering wheel, bucket seat with multi-point harnesses, digital instrument cluster, roll cage and more.
