According to Rosstat, from October 31 to November 7, cars produced in Russia rose in price, while foreign cars fell slightly in price – by 0.4 percent. The 5.5 percent price jump was the highest weekly price recorded this year. At the same time, since the beginning of the year, cars assembled in the country have increased in price by 14.4 percent, and foreign cars – by 4.6 percent.

Lada models showed an increase in price in early November: AvtoVAZ rewrote prices for all cars, with the exception of basic versions, as a result of which their cost increased by an average of 6.6 percent. The company itself explained the adjustment in price lists by the rise in prices for logistics services, components, subcomponents and materials. In addition, according to a representative of the plant, AvtoVAZ began to use “more reliable and import-independent parts and components” in production. At the same time, the interest burden on debt servicing increased due to changes in the key rate.

Haval cars are also produced in Russia, however, as Interfax reports, the brand’s representative office did not comment on price dynamics. Sollers stated that due to rising prices for car delivery across Russia, UAZ was forced to take “compensatory measures” – the cost of delivering a car from the factory to the dealership is now 50 thousand rubles.

At the same time, before the onset of November in Russia, there was a decrease in the average cost of a new domestic car. Thus, according to Avito Auto, in May-October 2023 it dropped by 3.8 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1,092,901 rubles.
