Journalists from the Spanish publication km77 tested the Czech crossover Skoda Karoq, which was challenged by the traditional “moose test”. During the races, the car must suddenly change lanes – as if meeting a real animal – into the adjacent lane and return back to its lane. The crossover managed not only to perform this maneuver at a speed of 77 kilometers per hour, but also to please the experts – they noted the predictable reactions and excellent tuning of the electronics.

In the hands of journalists was a car equipped with a 150-horsepower 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a 7-speed robotic gearbox. The front-wheel drive Skoda Karoq is shod with 19-inch Bridgestone Turanza T005 tires, the lowest profile and widest available for a crossover.

In the best attempt, the electric car stayed in the corridor of cones at a speed of 78 kilometers per hour, which is not only a passing result for the “moose test”, but also very good overall by the standards of the test. Experts noted the crossover’s predictable reactions to steering movements and the good configuration of electronic assistants, which allows even an inexperienced driver to feel comfortable behind the wheel.
