The world’s largest automakers are seeking to strengthen their position in China’s fast-growing electric vehicle market. The Japanese giant Toyota also decided to expand its presence in this segment by presenting two new products at the Beijing Motor Show – the bZ3C and bZ3X electric crossovers. Toyota is stingy with technical details; their ambitious nature can be judged by their appearance.

Toyota bZ3C

The Toyota bZ3C is positioned as a stylish and compact electric crossover, reminiscent of the bZ4X and Prius, but with a more sophisticated design. The aggressive LED optics and the design of the rear lights deserve attention. The interior of the bZ3C is designed in a minimalist style with a dominant position of a huge multimedia display and a digital instrument panel.

The bZ3X is a larger, more traditional electric SUV with a high seating position, narrow headlights and no traditional grille. The interior of the bZ3X is spacious and has a premium level of finishing.

Toyota’s entry into the electric vehicle market in China with two new models is an expected step for the Japanese auto giant. These crossovers highlight Toyota’s ability to create relevant and attractive electric vehicles that combine striking design and advanced technology. Thanks to joint work with local partners BYD and FAW, new products should become truly competitive in the Middle Kingdom. The bZ3C and bZ3X are expected to go on sale within the next 12 months.
