Andrey Akifiev, executive director of Havale Motor Rus, spoke about this in an interview with Kommersant. According to him, Ora and Wey are preparing to enter the Russian market, and both of them will appear before the end of 2023. Ora will be represented in our country by electric vehicles, and Wey by hybrid crossovers. It is worth noting that both of these brands some time ago reached Europe.

Great Wall registered the Ora brand in Russia back in 2021. In the concern itself, the Ora brand is called “one of the leaders in the electric vehicle segment in China,” so its entry into the global market is a completely logical step. Which model will be sold in Russia is still unknown.

Today, Ora is represented by two models, Good Cat (including the GT version), Lightning Cat and Ballet Cat. All of them are made in a specific retro design: for example, the Ballet Cat resembles the classic Volkswagen Bettle, and the Lightning Cat shows Porsche features. Good Cat GT and Lighting Cat previously debuted in Europe, so it can be assumed that one of these models (or even both) is being prepared for export to Russia.

A little more information about Wey. Back at the beginning of this year, Wey Mocha was seen in Russia – a hybrid crossover with a 476-horsepower installation based on a 2.0-liter internal combustion engine. In terms of dimensions, this model is comparable to Changan Uni-K, which is already on sale in the Russian market. So, most likely, Mocha will be brought to Russia.

Meanwhile, back in 2022, a Wey conceptual model called Yuanmeng was patented in Russia. The Russians would like it, as it looks like I advise Pobeda.
