The three-row crossover eπ 008 debuted at the Beijing Auto Show – the second model of the young brand eπ (read as Ipai), launched last year. At the premiere, a representative of the Russian importer Dongfeng said that eπ cars will appear in Russia, and this could happen as early as this year. It is also planned to establish local production, but the timing has not yet been announced.
The eπ brand in Russia will be developed within the Evolute brand. Evolute are Dongfeng electric cars, produced at the Motorinvest plant in the Lipetsk region. It can be assumed that in the future eπ will keep them company on the assembly line.

Dongfeng launched eπ last year to produce premium and technically advanced electrified cars, a step below the Voyah line. eπ is the Gelfond constant, named after the Soviet mathematician Alexander Gelfond. The first-born of the brand was the 4.9-meter liftback 007, sales of which began in China in January 2024.

Its features include lift-up frame doors, dynamic ambient lighting, multimedia on the advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and autopilot. It has hybrid and all-electric versions ranging from 218 to 544 horsepower. The rated range of the hybrid is 1,200 kilometers, that of the electric car is up to 620.
The second model, eπ 008, is a crossover the size of a Toyota Grand Highlander. Details about it were revealed quite recently: its palette also includes a hybrid and an electric car. The maximum power is noticeably less than that of the liftback and is equal to 271 horsepower, and the range in the purely electric version is 636 kilometers.
