The project was carried out by a team that specializes in Continental GT and Bentayga interiors, which is why there are so many automotive details, from soft leather to decorative diamond stitching. Even the cabin furniture is made in-house by Bentley, with some taken from the Bentley Home catalogue.

For some reason, Bentley calls the creation of the interior for the 20-meter sailboat Contest 67CS the first joint project with the Contest Yachts shipyard. In fact, the companies have already collaborated. In 2021, Bentley Design Services designed the interior of the 59CS, using the interior of the client’s Bentley Continental GT V8 as reference. Another team worked on the 67CS – the one that specializes in the interiors of the Continental GT and Bentayga. The result can be seen in the photographs.

While working on the yacht, Bentley actively used modern prototyping methods, including 3D printing. To ensure the quality of the finish, some items were first made as models, including full-size ones. This is how a corner sofa was made, which was then covered in leather with the signature diamond stitching. In general, the materials here are the same as in cars. Well, the furniture, of course, is from the Bentley Home collection (including Malvern chairs). Some things really had to be created according to an individual project – a bar, a vanity cabinet, a tray for napkins and coasters for mugs.

The project, according to Bentley, takes cooperation with the Danish Contest Yachts to a new level. There are already words about the launch of a separate line of yachts with Bentley interiors, although for now these are only ambitious plans. However, the step is quite logical, and it is easily explained from the point of view of consumer psychology. It’s like with real estate: attracting a well-known brand increases the value of the home, increases recognition and strengthens consumer identification with the brand. Therefore, automakers are increasingly entering new areas for themselves – including shipbuilding, like Lexus.
