The authors of the YouTube channel Carwow staged their usual race in a straight line, but among its participants they included quite rare cars – fairly modernized Japanese sports cars Mazda RX-7 and Toyota Supra of classic generations, for which they chose the current Porsche 911 Carrera T in the factory version. The Supra is equipped with a modified 700-horsepower engine, and the RX-7 is equipped with an engine from the Honda Civic Type R.

The iconic Supra is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-6 engine that loses one of its two turbos, and the original automatic transmission is replaced with an 8-speed ZF gearbox from the BMW 530d.

The coupe is also equipped with a transbrake for efficient standing starts. The Toyota two-door weighs about 1,500 kilograms and has 700 horsepower and 780 Nm in its arsenal. The 1983 RX-7 has been modified so much that it’s actually not a Mazda anymore. The coupe received a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine from the Honda Civic Type R, to which a turbocharger was added, as well as a manual transmission from the BMW 330d.

The car was created for racing in the time attack format – it was lightened to 840 kg and a lot of aerodynamic elements were added. The starting point was the standard Porsche 911 Carrera T with a 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-6 engine that produces 385 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. This sports car weighs 1470 kilograms.
