Moreover, the restyled GV80 debuted along with it. The new product received the engine from the G90 LWB sedan, launch control, as well as a number of exclusive functions. For example, the GV80 Coupe can simulate the sound of more powerful engines and allows you to adjust the responsiveness of the brake pedal.

The restyled GV80 debuted in South Korea. And at the same time, Genesis showed the first serial coupe-shaped crossover in its history – the GV80 Coupe. Both models continue to feature the signature Athletic Elegance styling, but feature slimmer Two-Line LED headlights with microlens technology. From the front, cars can be distinguished by their radiator grille: the regular GV80 has double diamonds, while the GV80 Coupe has superimposed meshes. Wheel diameter is 20 or 22 inches.

One of the features of the GV80 and GV80 Coupe is a thinner emblem with a guilloche pattern. This is exactly what Genesis uses on the G90 flagship.

The coupe-shaped crossover received active flaps in the front bumper and four additional slots under the grill for better engine cooling. The GV80 Coupe, by the way, has three to choose from. The SUV shares the first two with the standard GV80: the turbo-four 2.5 T-GDI (304 hp, 422 Nm) and the V6 3.5 T-GDI (380 hp, 530 Nm). The third is an exclusive, inherited from the G90 LWB sedan. We are talking about the G6DV six with a 48-volt eS/C electric supercharger, which produces 415 horsepower and 549 Nm of torque. Only the coupe with this unit has the Sports+ profile and launch control.

Diesel is not mentioned, although the pre-restyling GV80 had one. The gearbox is the same for all – an eight-speed automatic. The three-row crossover comes with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive; The GV80 Coupe comes with all-wheel drive only.

From the G90, crossovers also received the Preview-ECS predictive suspension, which uses data from the front camera and navigation to adjust the shock absorbers. The “eighties” were also equipped with second-generation active engine mounts, a driving assistant in strong crosswinds and an Auto Terrain driving mode with artificial intelligence. However, the regular GV80 does not have the Active Sound Design function, which generates the sound of large-displacement engines through the built-in speakers of the audio system, and Flex Brake, which allows you to adjust the responsiveness of the brake pedal.

Buyers of GV80 crossovers will be offered five interior color schemes, including three new ones – Earth Brown, Bordeaux Brown and Glacier White.

In the interior of the new products you can find a 27-inch OLED display, a touch-sensitive climate control unit and a “crystal” transmission selector. In addition, the finishing materials have been improved (leather, aluminum and natural wood are announced) and sound insulation, plus the location of the smartphone charging area has been revised. Additionally, the cars are equipped with trays for ultraviolet disinfection, heated armrests, an aroma system, a display for rear passengers and Bang & Olufsen acoustics.

The coupe has six interior packages and a damn dozen exterior paint options, including a special Bering Blue.

A special display of the facelifted GV80 and GV80 Coupe will be held at the Genesis Suji showroom in Yongin. The crossovers will then go to the Busan International Film Festival. Genesis promises to prepare several collaborations with famous designers – so this will not just be a demonstration, but, most likely, a whole performance. The start of sales in South Korea is scheduled for October 11.
