The author of the YouTube channel Clay Cars Creator has chosen an unusual hobby. First, he meticulously reproduces a scale model of a car from plasticine, then “breaks” the model using a special radio-controlled pickup truck with a nozzle or simulating an accident with a pole. Crash tests take place at different angles and at different speeds: neither BMW nor Lada were spared.

Each scale model is the result of many hours of work. It takes up to 52(!) hours for a detailed study of the body, interior and engine compartment, and the whole process takes weeks. For example, this eight-minute video shows the full cycle of how a BMW X5 M E70 in 1:18 scale is obtained from 900 grams of plasticine using 3D modeling, improvised tools and tools.

When the sample is ready, the testing phase begins: in some ways, the craftsman copies EuroNCAP crash tests, in some ways he improvises. The results are quite realistic: in the selection you can see how the body of the UAZ Patriot, Lada Niva Legend, GAZelle-NEXT, ZIL-130 dump truck, Lamborghini Huracan, Dodge Challenger, six-wheeled Gelendevagen or Toyota AE86 are deformed:

Probably, in the next video, the blogger will show the deformation of the BMW X5 M, stylized as the car of one famous blogger. However, there are exceptions: some scale models are made to order and avoid damage.

The most dangerous cars: models that failed crash tests
