From the certification documents it became known that in the Middle Kingdom, at the facilities of Jiangling-Ford, they will begin to produce not only the regular Bronco, but also its “hardcore” version of the Everglades, adapted for driving on dirt. In the United States, such an all-terrain vehicle debuted in February 2022: the modification is named after the national park in Florida, famous for its wetlands.

The Chinese Ford Bronco Everglades differs in appearance from its American counterpart only in the radiator grille and the absence of a Warn winch. The SUV will be available in a four-door version, the approach/departure angles will be 45/37 degrees, respectively, and under the hood the 2.3-liter EcoBoost petrol turbo engine will remain in the boost version with 275 horsepower.

It is known that the Chinese Bronco Everglades will be able to tow a 1.5-ton trailer. It seems that unification with the American version will be maximum, that is, non-standard Dana axles, long-stroke Bilstein shock absorbers, special high-profile Goodyear tires and external attributes will remain: wheel arch extensions, underbody protection, “power” bumpers and stickers on the front fenders. In this case, the depth of the ford will be 925 millimeters.

Sales of the Chinese Ford Bronco are expected in early 2024, and it is possible that the Everglades special version will be available immediately. In the US, the version for conquering swamps costs 55 thousand dollars, and the Chinese version is unlikely to be noticeably more expensive.
