The production partner of the Kaliningrad Avtotor has rewritten the prices for the U5 Plus sedan, X35 and X55 crossovers, as well as the BJ40 SUV. Rossiyskaya Gazeta drew attention to the upwardly adjusted price list. According to the official BAIC website, the brand’s most affordable model, the U5 Plus, now costs more than two million rubles; X35 lost the Fashion package with a manual transmission; and the starting price of the X55 was close to three million rubles. In turn, BAIC BJ40 immediately added almost 300 thousand rubles.

After the price increase, the U5 Plus with basic equipment and a manual transmission costs from 2,050,000 rubles, although previously the sedan could be bought for 1.84 million. The modification with a CVT will now cost 2,115,000 rubles (versus 1,979,000 rubles previously). And finally, the recommended price for the Honor package is 2,215,000 rubles (before the price increase – 2,049,000 rubles).

BAIC X35 was left without the Fashion A version with a manual transmission. Now the basic version has become the Fashion package with a CVT, which will cost at least 2,200,000 rubles (the increase was 131 thousand rubles). The Fashion Plus version costs 2,310,000 rubles (+81 thousand rubles), and the Luxury version costs 2,390,000 rubles (+71 thousand rubles).

The “senior” crossover X55, which joined the BAIC model range in Russia just a few weeks ago, has risen in price by 195 thousand rubles, and now its starting price is 2,950,000 rubles. The more expensive Elite version costs from 3.25 million rubles, although even at the start of sales such a car could be bought for less than three million.

Finally, the BAIC BJ40 frame SUV, which is still available in Russia in the only Flagship configuration and with an uncontested gasoline engine, is priced at 4,350,000 rubles. This is 291 thousand rubles more expensive than before.
