According to Automotive News, Jeep is ending sales of this model in the United States, while the Renegade will remain in the markets of Mexico, Europe and several other countries. The reason that the Renegade is being withdrawn from sale in North America is falling demand. So, if in pre-pandemic 2019 Renegade sold 76.8 thousand units, then in 2022 sales decreased to 27.5 thousand units. And in 2023, the model showed an even lower result.

The Renegade is Jeep’s most affordable crossover SUV in the United States. According to the brand’s website, prices start at 29.4 thousand dollars (2.68 million rubles at today’s exchange rate). In the American market, the Renegade is offered with a 2.0-liter turbo-four producing 200 horsepower. After sales are completed, the title of the most budget model will go to Compass, which costs from 30 thousand dollars (2.7 million rubles).

In Russia, the Renegade was sold until the fall of 2021, although deliveries stopped in November 2019, after which Jeep dealers sold off the remaining stock. At the beginning of 2022, the American brand, which belongs to the Stellantis concern, had plans to expand its model line on the Russian market – the fifth generation Grand Cherokee (WL), as well as the updated Compass and Wrangler, were to be brought to us. But after well-known events, the brand’s business in the country was paused and new products did not reach Russia.

Currently, new Jeep vehicles are being supplied to the country through parallel imports. You can find both the Grand Cherokee on sale (from Avilon it costs from 5.14 million rubles) and the new Wrangler (from 4.92 million rubles).
